Oooooh... wave about there in Llano, that there is where my ancestors hailed from... well... between Mason, Llano, and Castell.
That country always pulls at my heart strings.
Look out for porcupines!!!
I wouldn't mix the BOSS into the feed.
The regular BOSS, straight out of the bag, is about 16% protein, so not higher than flock raiser... so it would not be helping to incresse overall protein.
Sunflower seeds are also pretty high in fats.....
BOSS is a great treat though.
The really high...
Got hot... ya know... 60s..
So I caught a moose cooling off in the pond.
This is our neighborhood cow... she didn't calve this year.. maybe getting too old... not sure how old she is...
The fact that she crunches the nuggets but will not touch the grain.. is odd... so maybe not teeth, but still maybe a sore of some kind, or something stuck between teeth...
As to how much alfalfa... what kind of horse nuggets is she eating? Can you transition her to a milk goat pellet? And...
Ah... I turned my phone sideways! ;)
Ok... Arkansas...
So... you need lots of shade for the goats, dog proof fencing, and then a night pen hat has lots of ventilation so you don't cook the goats.
What predators do you have besides dogs? Whatever they are... keep them out.
Usually, except...
Uh...
1. Cost varies wildly across the country... at a guess, one that will not be used for breeding, I would say free to 150 is the range.
2. I think you need 2. They are super social. Unless this one will live with you in the house....
3.depends on where you live and what pasture you...
That makes me think this is a teeth or gum issue.... as if chewing the grain hurts her.
Something stuck between 2 teeth, a rotted tooth, an abscess, a splinter on her tongue...or ???
Yes, she will hate it... but you will have to manhandle her and give that entire mouth a super close look...
K, I had to look it up...
Turns out they are native to west and NW Texas.
But... they are expanding their range into Austin and San Antonio....
Which explains why I knew they lived in Texas and you didn't.
They live in MY area of Texas, but not yours!
