Coffee is ready, going for second cup. It's really nice weather, I look at it but do nothing. Son is finishing up stuff he is doing at his house. He ordered a wheel kit for moving shipping containers. Mount them on one end, pick up other end and push. Put pads and blocks down and put end down. May have to use jacks, dunno. Me and a friend jacked up his two 40' shipping containers and placed pads and blocks under them. It was enough for me, don't want to do that again and of course now I can't anyway. I'm getting closer to getting them moved, on blocks and then I can organize my tools!!!!! I may have to carry them one at a time, I don't care. I'll have to get help moving my red roll away tool box and another heavy cabinet, I couldn't move them even if I wasn't all screwed up.
I love how he's been helping you. 💗

I've had several surgeries and I'm constantly being scolded for lifting things that are heavier than I should. It's so frustrating to not be able to do what you've always done. But, I don't want to have anymore surgeries, so, I try to behave myself... well mostly.

That's it....you can see "home" ! 🥰 Post a pic of granny cow -- wed like to see her 😁
Well I'd post a picture of granny but she's likely burger cow now. She went into labor today but didn't push and the calf died. The calving camera was down so I went off of her behavior and I let the calf die. I feel so guilty. It was a beautiful heifer. Exactly what I bred for. I'm trying to graft a calf on her but she's already aware of what's going on and I'm just not sure it's worth it. The only reason I'm attempting is because DH doesn't want to see her go to auction and we have no room for her in the freezer. We'll see how it goes I guess but she's showing zero interest other than wanting to smash the calf to death. She's an older cow and knows what's normal so we'll see. Without access to sedatives I don't see much hope. Plus this will mean I can't take this load home for another month. By the time I got them squared away I won't be able to leave until after the last dairy heifer is squared away which will be weeks post calving I'm sure.
Son has plans on setting containers soon. He has pulled up an 80' section of the old roping chute, mowed down the blackberry canes that were 10 feet tall and it is clear, clean and gorgeous. Yeah, I know they will come back from the roots, I have spray for that. DIE YOU DAM*ED THORNY THINGS!!!!
I despise blackberry bushes. We fight them on our fences every year. That's why we planted thorn less in supplement tubs ONLY so they can't root into the ground and I don't have to fight the thorns.
Started some yogurt, love my Instant Pot for this, set it and forget it for 7 hours. Then in the fridge overnight, place in the strainer for 2 hours and Greek yogurt is ready.

I am going to look into this! I have a instant pot still here but my yogurt maker is at home. I figured it would be too much trouble to do it any other way so I've gone without. Great idea!

I like my yogurt really mild, so I only incubate it for 7 hours. If you like it more tart, then you'll need to increase the time.

Sorry about your calf. You didn't let it die, some things are just out of our control. :hugs

@RR Homestead Sorry you lost the wanted heifer 😞
@fuzzi how do you make your yogurt?

Middle of night wake up again. 😖 Finally just got on up at 3. Having some hot tea, turned on TV -- unusual -- and find we're apparently at war with Iran. Bombings all all that.😱 More turmoil. TV off! Not ready for that.

I'm going to have breakfast. Back at a more normal time.

Sorry about the calf. Don't blame yourself.
☹️

@Mini Horses - I don't make yogurt, though I did when my children were toddlers.
