I don't have a special feeder...just a wall hanging one. I notice if I don't give them a lot of hay at one time, they don't waste much hay. They actually would eat all of it.

Couple gleded males would be nice. Often they are cheaper too. We have a barn my animals can go in and out of but my alpaca doesn't mind the rain or snow. Sometimes my goats are out when snowing too. None of them like the wind though.

Exactly...they don't allow dogs to go as livestock guardian or they are really not trained to do so...forcing me to get a puppy or hope to find a already working dog. Then I would hear rescue people venting about getting puppies or breeding more dogs when there are plenty that need homes...

I am thinking someday I would like a LGD. I especially love the Anatolian Shepherd. I have found an Anatolian Rescue organization but wondering if it is ok to adopt one from them. Yeah, he is a small paca (125lb, 4 year boy) so I probably won't put a pack on him. It was fun taking him out though. I will probably keep taking him out when we have a chance. At least on of the goats will be big enough to carry a pack. My little shrimp...baby goat is another story.
