The girls are fat and waddling. It is a little crowded in their hoop shelter, but that’s the best I can do for now. I’m anxiously waiting on lambs. I have 3 registered girls due, 3 second generation recorded and 8 first generation recorded. And one of the Texas Five!

Out of 3 of the Texas Five, I got 2 singles and 1 set of twins. 3 ewes and 1 ram. The ram is booking his reservations to Freezer Camp. I gave one ewe to the man who showed up last June to help put the metal roof on my house. He wanted to pay for her and offered many times, but I figured he more than paid for her with his knowledge and labor. He didn’t even know me, he came because his neighbor who was helping, told him what we were doing and he worked 2 Saturdays in ferocious heat to put my roof on.

So I have 2 lovely ewe lambs, out of Cooper. Granddaughters named them Daisy and Specks. I sent off for them to be recorded at 50%.

Also keeping Ewenique’s 2 black ewes, sent off for them to be recorded at 50%. A registered ewe had a single ewe, granddaughters named her Rusty, sent in for her registration plus a single ram lamb.

I can’t wait to see what I get this time!

@Margali the line up due as of right now would give me some nice recorded ewes for sale next year at the Tex Kats seminar. I have 2 spoken for as commercial, after I hoard all the ewes and grudgingly give a couple up.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂.

I know I’m supposed to SELL sheep as opposed to HOARDING sheep……. at least I’m not an old cat lady……

Surprise! Right on time! Got to be the first time THAT had happened! Jet, first generation recorded, had a single ram lamb this morning. Up, vigorously nursing and healthy.

Jet took him right out on the field, with the flock.

Sheba is their guardian and stays the night in their pen and shelter. When I let her out, she ran to a tree inside the fence where 3 black head vultures were hanging around. She barked and chased them away. Good girl!

Got 5 more due right away, on the 28, 29, 2 on the 30th and 1 on the 31st. Then 8 more in April.

Due this weekend are Miranda’s and Ringo’s triplet daughters, bred to Cooper. They are first generation and so far I only have one daughter out of Nova. They keep having boys. Crossing my fingers for ewe lambs.

Didn’t get a picture of Nora, but she looks the same.

I’m getting so excited over lambing and breeding because I’m getting closer to my goal of breeding up to eligibility for full registrations.

I now have 1 ewe at 87.5% recorded, have to wait and see how she sheds out. I have 3 second generation ewes that will go in the breeding pen with Rocky.
