I haven’t made a lambing thread for 2 years, I just threw everything in my journal. In such a state of turmoil it was the easiest thing to do. I’m getting my life back together and part of that is a lambing thread. I’m including December of 2023. I had 7 ewes with Cooper, due in December 4, 2023 through February 5, 2024.

Aerial Cooper romancing 12-7, did not see breeding Had a single ram, dead, Sentry stole the lamb. February 10. Cooper must have bred Aerial on one of his escapes.

I have 6 more ewes to sort out and put with Cooper.

I have 2 young rams I plan on breeding a few ewes to in December. Little Ringo will be 6 month In November and Rocky was 6 months in October. Each will get a couple of ewes. They are still young and I don’t want to give them too many, too soon.

That depends on how fast I can get fence up to keep them separated and shelter of some kind, even if it’s a cow panel hoop shelter. If I can’t get that done by December, I’ll put the ewes with Cooper because I don’t want summer lambing, it’s too hot.

So here we go! I’m excited for the coming year here on;

Bennett and Peggy came over and we worked on the front fence row. He chainsawed his way to the T-posts and I cut the post clips with bolt cutters. Then his chainsaw quit.

This is going to be fun to watch! LOL I need more sheep before I can start a lambing thread. Chicken math where are you?? :lol:
You can start a lambing thread with just a few sheep. Then if you want to go back and read on a certain ewe or lamb, it sure is easier to find, rather than pages and pages of your journal.

Or if you want to keep everthing in one thread, make an index!;)
On the corner of each post is the three dots connect share symbol. Click on that and you get a popup with the URL of the post. Then you can edit a post at beginning of thread to be index. Click the chain icon to insert hyperlink, paste URL, edit text, and save.
