This reminds me of the days in Iraq, not as hot, but enough. Going so much you couldn’t keep up with water on hydration so we turned to IV’s of saline solution stick one in and kept fighting.
Nerve wracking after had just fought one little over a month ago. Odd is it isn’t as hot as it could get nor dry as I have seen in the past. In some way that is only reason we haven’t had more burn I guess. Can’t wait to see what happens when relative humidity drops into single digits soon.

We just had 14 acres around our property thinned and mulched any really flammable plants i.e. Yucca's, Junipers add in two fire breaks, a few thousand gallons of water and heavy equipment. We are ready and were years before this.
Had one long ago, but there is that 1% it jumps it. I think we will be fine based on distance. Though random thunderstorms in the night touching down seem to be on the rise this summer.
Damn war zone out here with all these wildfires popping up. Two just started today from last nights thunderstorm around 0100 hrs. This one is 15 miles away at 600 plus acres and headed our way.
