It's kinda fun reading about all the different things you do down south when it gets cold I understand u build different. Makes me smile. 0-20 out wear coat and long johns 20- 50 just a hoodie 50+ t shirt. Never ever have boiled water for animals. One order for a drop in water trough heater from...
Animals aren't human and are different most of the time they know what they are doing. Give them the choice if the don't want to then that's their choice. It will almost always surprise you on what they do and put up with.
Like your talking to your parents or your children about it? You have to explain how the real world is and there is no fix. Taking to the sale barn u aren't the one doing the killing. You are just re selling
So the barn is 20x48 I can have 4 10x12 pens if I like and the far end would be a 12x20 pen last year I did 1 2x24 and 2 12x10 pens they all can share the same trough. Barn cost 800 to build used 100+ tpoles

You must have a lesser grade osb. I've done construction for the last 18 yrs and have seen osb up here exposed for 6 months and not swell or slip a screw. My barn floor has been osb for 12 yrs and it's still solid. I have a steal roof and it's screwed down to osb. I ripped off the shingle roof...
Maybe I'm crazy but doesn't felt paper shed the water. I mean at least it does up north. Maybe uens in Texas are far enough south your toilets flush backwards and u like more work. Just thinking out loud on why you are using tarps. I see over the 1x4. Also why the 1x4 u have plywood to screw to...
