Please help identifying new rabbit breed!?!?

See? I knew I wasn’t the only old guy that runs around in crocs with socks! I’ve seen other truckers do it too, a lot actually… even with sweats on when it’s below 10-15F outside or a lot of snow. 😂 Can’t help ID a bunny, sorry, we only have two and they are small too, although about a year...

    Need help please!!

Oh so cute! We got our first bottle calf to our house at about 3 weeks old, and a week later the second at 1 day old. That was about 3 weeks ago, and I look forward to one day having cow calf pairs, but had to start somewhere. Next critters coming in July will be 8 week old piglets. It’s more...

Thanks for confirmation! I’m open to trying different things, but not super gamey or stuff like that. 😉

The Best Pig Breeds for the Homestead

Looking forward to pigs, but my wife told me today that she went to a friend’s house and had lunch including a pork sandwich made from their mule foot pigs. She said the smell was strong and couldn’t eat much of it due to the taste. Her friend said that her husband hadn’t cut or banded the pig...

    Idaho Pastured Pigs

The lady said they should be ready at 8 weeks old, in June. I need to call her and touch base! :)

    Idaho Pastured Pigs

Very cool thread about building a hog house. Things I like about the IPPs (that I have heard at least!) are that they are a smaller breed although bigger than American guineas, supposed to be great grazers and not root too much if provided with enough minerals, and also friendly personalities...

    Idaho Pastured Pigs

New farmers here, we’ll, full time I am still a trucker for now, but that’s paying for the 31 acres we bought last year. So far we have 2 bottle calves, 2 rabbits for 4H, 2 puppies (Great Pyr and Pyr/chocolate lab mix), 2 cats, 2 10 year old kids, and 37 laying hens plus 4 roosters! Wife has...

What breed or mix could our boar be?

IPPs only reach about 350, maybe 400 tops for boats from what I’ve read. I have visited one farm near me that has had some for a few years and that was what they said also. I liked the tri color ones, they had a couple blondes too.

The Best Pig Breeds for the Homestead

We will be getting in June, 5 IPPs (Idaho Pasture Pigs), 3 feeders and a female from a farm nearby and a male from another farm with a different line. Looking forward to them as grazers and they are usually good mothers and max out around 300-350 pounds. We are very interested in trying to...

    NW Missouri new farmers

Thanks, and yes so far it has been an adventure, especially in the crazy times we live in! Looking forward to more animals soon and hoping to learn a lot more from Greg Judy, who is a few hours South of me. Regenerative grazing is something i am very interested in… even if the two puppies to one...

    NW Missouri new farmers

Howdy y’all, New farmers sorta here in Harrison County, MO. Bought 31 acres last year and escaped the big city with my wife and twins. We love small town life and are starting to accumulate animals now. First was the two cats we brought with us from Kansas City (and they love our new place...
