    One of our new puppies....

Oh yeah... we haven't come up with a good name for him yet so I'm open for suggestions. I really don't want a 150 lb LGD named "puppy dog", which is what my son calls him LOL. We also need female a name for the Maremma.

    One of our new puppies....

There are a couple of pics of the GP. He is 9 - 10 weeks old and growing like a weed! A great little pup though and feisty as can be. He is doing well so far around animals. The puppy & our pet goat (and our vicious basset hound LGD lol) are actually all buddies, and romp around for hours &...

    One of our new puppies....

I will get a pic asap. I haven't actually picked one yet. I went & looked at them and my buddy who has them was out of town. His wife said he wants to keep one, but wasn't sure which one, etc, etc, etc. I will go back this weekend and try to get one picked out.

    One of our new puppies....

Thank you. I am excited to have him. Yes, your story was funny. I can only imagine a big, goofy, clumsy GP puppy in a house! No idea on a name yet? We usually come up with funny names, and then nicknames.... I am open for suggestions though! I have a Catahoula puppy coming too, going to pick...

He definitely won't be a house dog.

    One of our new puppies....

He is a puffy little cutie. The hardest part will be keeping my little boy from bringing him in the house and spoiling him haha

    One of our new puppies....

So, I have previously posted in here, once about adopting an Anotolian, and once about maybe adopting a GP. Both cases, the "rescue" people were a pain and p.issed me off, so I just bought puppies instead. Here is one of our new guys. He is 6 weeks old, and we will pick him up in 2 weeks. Both...

Where to find LGD's in Florida?

I had thought about how a pyr would do here, although it's just as hot in the summer in lots of other parts of the country as it is here. There is a guy down the road who has a pyr in with some goats. I've stopped several times to talk to him, but he's never home. Probably working a "real job"...

Where to find LGD's in Florida?

Thank you. I tried craigslist. I saw some GP's, but the I can't find the ad (they misspelled pyrenees). I've never heard of hoobly? That link to that last ad looks good. Thats the same county I live in. I emailed them but haven't heard back. The ad is month or two old, but maybe there's one or...

Where to find LGD's in Florida?

No input? I did locate a breeder here who sells anotolian puppies for $1,500 (ouch) which is not really what I'm after. I will keep looking.

    Rutting behavior questions?

Been out of town, so haven't been on in awhile to see these replies. Thanks a lot for the input. The search is on for a buddy for our little buck, or a girlfriend depending on what we find. We've had a few problems so far in our search. First, I don't really know what kind of goat he is, so I'm...

Where to find LGD's in Florida?

Was just curious if anyone knew any farms or breeders with LGD's in Florida? I am in central FL, and have been looking around for a puppy or two, but haven't had much luck finding any. I did see some GP's on our local craigslist, but I can't find the ad, and honestly craigslist is sketchy...
