🐾 Livestock Countdown Challenge — Join Me! 🐾

Hey everyone! I’m counting down to February 20th, when my new chicks arrive, and to make the wait more fun, I’ve created a daily activity challenge. But this isn’t just for chicken lovers — whether you raise ducks, goats, rabbits, or any other critters, you’re invited to join in! 🎉

Each day has a small, livestock-related activity — sometimes it’s prepping, sometimes learning, sometimes just having fun with your animals. I’ll be posting what I do each day, and I’d love for you all to share your own activities, pics, or stories too!

Today’s activity: brainstorm 5-10 potential names for your 2026 livestock additions
Tomorrow’s activity: give your animal friends a special treat and snap some pictures of their reactions

Let’s make the countdown to chick day (or any upcoming additions to your flock or herd) a fun, shared adventure! Who’s in? 🐓🐇🐐

I will probably let my Speckled Sussex hatch eggs, if/when they go broody.

I'm using names from the Bible. Currently I have:

Zaccheus (roo #1)
Hens Rahab, Hannah, Priscilla, Joanna
Pullets Lois and Claudia, cockerel Jacob (all 9 weeks old)

Silas (roo #2)
Abigail and Naomi (Dominiques)
Esther
Pullets Julia, Dinah, Phoebe (OEGBs)
