Resource Hive # 1: Carniolan
I spotted the 3 capped queen cells on April 16th. The virgin queen might have already emerged or should within the next couple of days. I will check on June 6th to see if we have a new queen, that gives her at least 3 weeks. Hopefully we will have a newly mated and laying queen at that time.
I did see pollen coming in.

Just saw pollen for the first time, being brought into Hive #4: Buckfast. It's so small right now. I gave them quite a bit of capped brood when we installed the queen. I'm sure some of them have emerged by now. I hope to find some newly capped brood the next time we get into this hive. I will assess at that time if they have enough bees to support adding another frame. I add a frame with bees and any of the worker bees don't stay. They bring back their sisters to access the 1:1. Not sure what I can do about that, without setting up hives miles away.

We need to make an entrance reducer, not sure where ours went. I made the entrance really small to make it easier for them to defend.
