Every year I show a book about my market steer and baby calf. My book about Waffles is going to probably be the most interesting book about any of my cows. I mean how many other kids are going to be able to say their Reserve Champion calf ran away got lost for 3 days and you find him again

Waffles and Boxer don't look much different then when they left like they didn't lose a lot of weight and they aren't bloated or sick so thats good

That is Gizmo and his job is to protect the animals and that is what he looked like when I said it was all his fault the calves ran away

So glad he's back. Hope the others will be back soon. At least it seems that they weren't stolen - I was afraid of that.

They were found on a highway a mile away from our house pretty much only the people who live by us drive on that road. Now the only calves left out there are my oldest sisters calf, Kirby and my brother's bottle calves and none of them are very friendly so it is going to be a lot of fun trying to get them on a trailer when we find them

Glad that the 2 showed up, and it seems less likely the others were stolen; but that they all took a hike. More than likely the others will turn up now also...

My animals come to a call...usually for feed. Go to where these 2 were & call these others. You may get them that way. Sure worth a try. I assume y'all found their escape hole when they went on a walk about.

Agree, I would go to where these were found and start looking, calling there.. The others might be missing their bucket of feed by now... Kids have to go blow off some steam and then they get to thinking that they are missing the comforts of home...Calves are not much different.

there is good news and there is bad news.

the bad news is that today my 30-year-old buckskin quarter horse gelding named Cowboy had to be shot this morning because he layed down and didn't want to get up again so my dad called someone and had them come shoot him


the good news is that we got a call today from a neighbor and someone they know found the calves about 3 miles from our house and put them in a pen. they found them Friday afternoon and they didn't know whos calves they were but today they called our neighbor and told him that they found 4 calves our neighbor told them we were missing some calves so we went down and got them. that would make 6 calves we got back YAY!!!!!!!!!!! all of them are healthy and not hurt. I am so happy we got all of them back
