there is good news and there is bad news.

the bad news is that today my 30-year-old buckskin quarter horse gelding named Cowboy had to be shot this morning because he layed down and didn't want to get up again so my dad called someone and had them come shoot him😭

the good news is that we got a call today from a neighbor and someone they know found the calves about 3 miles from our house and put them in a pen. they found them Friday afternoon and they didn't know whos calves they were but today they called our neighbor and told him that they found 4 calves our neighbor told them we were missing some calves so we went down and got them. that would make 6 calves we got back YAY!!!!!!!!!!!😃😃😃😃😃😃😃 all of them are healthy and not hurt. I am so happy we got all of them back
I'm sorry about Cowboy, but 30 is really old for a horse. I'm sure you have some good memories to think upon.
:hugs

So glad the calves were found, safe.

Sorry for you losing your old horse... The older they are, the longer you have them... the harder it is I think. Be glad for the good memories... I had my old mare from 1 1/2 yrs old til she died at 29... got her at 15 from my 4-H leader... went through A LOT... with me... still miss her..

So very glad that the calves have been found and will be coming home safe and sound... Makes you want to smack 'em and say "HUH"..... calves will do stupid things... and getting out was a fun thing for starters...

Great news you got the calves back. Sounds like they were just looking for a wild adventure.
Sorry about Cowboy. Hugs.

I’m sorry about Cowboy. 30 is a long life for a horse. My avatar is the blue eye of Joe, my cremello Quarter horse gelding, got him at age 7, had to put him down at 32. My heart horse. Lots of family history in that old boy.

I’m glad you got the rest of the calves back.
