One of my good friends was born the day after Christmas. She said even her husband's family forgets about it. 😬
When we lived near each other, we always hung out on her birthday. Now that we live in different states, I make sure to get her two very separate and different gifts... one for Christmas and one for her birthday.

Someone lumping both holidays together might not be a big deal if one doesn't particularly care for their birthday. My husband is like that. But most of the people I know enjoy their birthday and enjoy people doing things for them so it would be a bummer for them to be mashed together. I know I wouldn't like that!

My brother was born December 7, Pearl Harbor Day. Our cheap mother didn’t go all out for his birthday because of Christmas right after. He always felt like he got short changed.
I had a pretty ewe lamb on December 7 2024. I just sent in her registration paperwork and paid the $25 extra to name her Scottie in his honor.

Lol Yeah, we spend take the kids to the shops on their birthday and they can spend 100$ and all the meals are of their choice. I have two close to Christmas on is Dec 17, the other is Dec 23. We don't do birthday parties. If said child prefers doing something over spending the money on we do that instead. But its a whole day event of doing fun things they want to do and things like that. Three of us are in March, one is in October, another in September and one in July, and of course the two in December.
