THIS ONE! 🙄
I've been watching for an hour or so and This one refuses to stay with Mama hen & the other two.
Do you see the white speck way back in the back? That's its sibling perking out from under mom's wing. They've all gone to bed. This One is still out in the yard.... all alone.... happy as a clam.

Boy.

I have never sexed by wing feathers... I know that some do it... Have never learned and really, never been an issue since the cull roosters can be sold for about what I have in them so never bothered. Show birds you just want to grow out to see type and adult feather coloring and such. Can cull some younger due to improper leg or beak color... but many times their feather color will change with each molt until they get their adult feathers... 5-6 months for most.
I do often separate out males from females so the pullets grow up without the harrassment of the "teenage" male hormones.
