Well, easier to buy a roo than pullets!
Always toooo many of those .
I've been watching my BYHs. 8 from incubated, looks 5 pullets. The 4 hen hatched looks 3 pullets. Then, the 5 BOs purchased -- saying pullets -- are 4 & 1 roo...which I love!
Appears I'll most likely have a dz new hens to lay this winter
. I'll keep the BOs separated and incubate eggs just before spring comes. Found out a goat friend got Bresse eggs & hatched.
To be dead honest, I'm not a fan of the butcher part. I'll wait for you & him to report that taste is "that much" better.
. Otherwise, I'll hatch & sell chicks, eggs, roos + buy meat.
