Well, easier to buy a roo than pullets! 🥰 Always toooo many of those .

I've been watching my BYHs. 8 from incubated, looks 5 pullets. The 4 hen hatched looks 3 pullets. Then, the 5 BOs purchased -- saying pullets -- are 4 & 1 roo...which I love!

Appears I'll most likely have a dz new hens to lay this winter 👏. I'll keep the BOs separated and incubate eggs just before spring comes. Found out a goat friend got Bresse eggs & hatched.

To be dead honest, I'm not a fan of the butcher part. I'll wait for you & him to report that taste is "that much" better. 😂. Otherwise, I'll hatch & sell chicks, eggs, roos + buy meat.

Little pale pink combs just barely taller than the feathers on their heads.
Red 38.6oz = 2.41lbs
Yellow 35.1oz = 2.29lbs
Blue 35.6oz = 2.22lbs

They no longer fit in that strainer gizmo. A couple of weeks ago they could stand in it. Today they went in laying on their side & could only hunker down in a squat while hanging.
I'm going to have to figure out something else for next week.

Also... little wild buggers scratched me bad. I look like I've been in a fight with a barn cat. Scratches all over my legs. Deeper bleeding one on my palm. 😠
