I don't believe that for a minute. You are giving them memories to last a lifetime. I think you will always be cool to them!
I drove my grandmother crazy, she called me a little heathen...lol, but I always knew she loved me unconditionally and I loved her as much.

Today we made a birthday cake. I made 7 minute frosting, they love it. They decorated it with sprinkles and we face timed their parents.
We went to a small community nearby to volunteer at a food distribution. I helped bag canned goods, and load the line of cars and trucks that showed up. I explained to the girls what it was and let them watch a little while. They played in the community center.

I took the girls back on Saturday to meet my DD and husband at my sister’s house. We had a good week.
Thursday we took my sister in law to the doctor and to pick up her grocery order. Took her home, took groceries in and put them up. Hauled off her trash.
Friday we went to Lufkin and I bought some new boots. I’m gonna wear the boots with dresses. I’ve been wearing sparkly flip flops or sandals but they won’t do well on rainy winter days. Plus I can wear nice boots with jeans. The only boots I had were work boots for the farm.
Saturday night I met a couple at her daughter and son in law’s ice house. Cafe in front, band in the huge back, solid fence all around for kids to play. A neighborhood cafe/bar/club and family atmosphere. It’s way out from town in the middle of nowhere. My friends and I sat at a table, they had a beer, I had iced tea. The music was good, we visited and had a good time.
This was my first “going out” since BJ died 4 years ago this month. Being old fuddy buddies, we left a little after 10.
