As long as both are of superior quality, there is no reason to worry. If the resulting offspring has an obvious flaw, be aware that it is in both sets of genes and breed to a ram that is strong in the weak area to correct. Little Ringo is her mother's half brother so far enough off with his unrelated maternal genes.

Earlier this week I was letting Rocky and his girls graze in the yard. He’s always behaved himself and shown no signs of aggression. I was going to use my battery operated chainsaw to cut a board, I gave it a test start. I guess Rocky didn’t like the sound, he hit me in the back of my leg. That slammed me into a metal outdoor table. I reacted immediately, grabbed a garden rake and hit him with it. He stood his ground like he was daring me, so I just whaled the tar out of him. He broke and ran. I always seem to have handy short pieces of 2x4s, so I picked them up and threw them at him. He ran some more, I chased him. I flung the 22 ounce framing hammer at him. SCORE!! Stupid ram.

Impact site swelled up and a huge bruise appeared over a couple of days. I limped a day or two, rubbing it with Arnicare cream to lessen the swelling, bruising and pain.

In other news, I rehung a gate to a small pen today. I’m going to pull Little Ringo next week and pen him up, but the gate was growing into the dirt. I didn’t get mad. I didn’t throw it down and stomp on it. I didn’t pitch a wall eyed wild horse fit. I tied both ends to a T-post keep it from falling down. I trudged back and forth to the small portable building for more tools, bigger tools. I propped up the gate on pieces of 4x4s, 2x4s and a brick. It took me awhile, but I got it done. In the past it has sagged, thank you Little Ringo for standing on it.

Holy Cow! So glad it wasn't worse - even though it looks bad enough.
Where Rocky hit me doesn’t hurt. It was one of those “test” hits, not hard but hard enough to knock me into the table edge. THAT hurt!
The evil chainsaw is put away and Rocky is back to being himself. I think he was protecting his girls.

Oh ouch! I hope it's doing better.

Sounds like it pays to be careful around any critter with horns. You just never know, do you. Rotten beast.
