Houston news has been screaming for almost 2 weeks about the bad storm that is gonna sweep across Texas and drown everyone. Their usual hysteria. Looks like I can get home before the rain starts and it is not going to be a Noah's Flood.
Forecast Frenzy at work. (for the record I made that term up - lets see when it hits MSM if ever because well, it calls them out on their intelligence)

Checking in now. Got here safely, truck leaking oil, was not happy. This morning on a cold engine, I checked it, only needed a half gallon. It holds 15 quarts . So if truck slings a half gallon every 350 miles, I can deal with that. Ozel rode in the back seat and did fine. I took her out when I got here and she peep. I fed her and she ate it! In a strange place, but in her safe place, the trailer. I took her for another walk and she pooped and peed. Walk this morning and she peed.

The school was having a fall festival and lots was going on. Tons of things to do! There were 3 different performances, dance, drum and Tae quon do. My granddaughter was in the drum performance. Great fun, short but good visit. DD has taken middle granddaughter to school, youngest wants to go see me load the horse. She helped me do my walk around, checking oil and tires. When DD gets back, she will lead me over there.

I’ll check back in tonight.

Correction from 15 gallons to 15 QUARTS of oil. LOL

I’m home. Horse is in a field, Ozel unloaded and in a crate in the house, yet another form of punishment for this poor dog. Trailer has horse poop in it, still hitched to truck, parked in driveway. I’ll clean it, park it and put the half hog panel tied to the opening above the back gate, tomorrow. Buford, Sheba, Carson are fed and so are the sheep. 7 hours on the road, 3 stops for diesel, going 60-65 mph instead of my usual 75-80. LOL

Isn’t he pretty!

Introduction to dog crate went rather well.

My granddaughter is 4th from the left. They played a drum pad and did all sorts of fancy banging those drumsticks. They danced, drummed and it was so much fun!
