No. The noise muffling hood is a sleeve and it’s super tight on him. It’s just me and him tomorrow so we will travel at a safe rate of speed. Aside from checking his ears, glands and goopy eyes (all in past few days) I will be getting some anxiety meds for him for when I’m not the one driving on the dirt road

Reminds me of a book I read as a child:

Based upon the author's own dog.

I walked out in the back yesterday. When I asked Boone to heal so he could balance me, he did so, right away. I noticed he was especially light on his collar…until this morning. Randy left the inside door open after Fen opened the outside door and let Boone loose on the ranch. I was worried about him getting into it with the dog pack and the repercussions of that, Randy is in too much pain to go after him (both knee and a shoulder need replacement) so I took off on 4 wheeler hoping to get ahold of him out by the brush. Instead I chased/led him for over a mile at top speeds, then turned around to go back, doing the same hoping he would get tired enough for me to catch him which I eventually did. Then my quad died and I had to walk way too far before Randy showed up. I tookhis, with Boone tied to the rack and we went to the house where Randy met us with mine. We were standing by the door when one if the wives passed on her quad, all was well. Her dogs went by and AFTER they passed us, Boone decided to chase. The leash took off part of my little finger and I stood with blood dripping in the lawn while Randy went to collect him. Of course he was all pissed off as if the whole thing was all my fault.
Sometimes I wish I had stayed single.

Finger will heal. It’s just very sore with a small chunk missing and a fat bandage on it. I’ve had worse. It’s hard to get mad at this dog, even when he screws up. He loves pushing his head into you for kisses, and it’s such a very large head, the endorphins start flowing, and he’s such a master at groveling…
