Breed Page

BTW you have a great plan. But it certainly sounds like something that would require quite a bit of research, so good luck with it. :)
WildRoseBeef:

Thanks for posting this. IMHO, as a Researcher , I think Anianna will benefit with your extensive research to help with her future plan. And your well wishes helps those continue with it. I'm always grateful for that leg up from someone who's been there. :)

Thanks all. I do expect it to take quite a bit of research, which used to be a hobby of mine. I haven't had much time for such things lately, but I'll be done with school soon and will enjoy delving into some good facts again. I hope to be well-versed in cattle by the time I am finished, at least in theory.

Wonderful chart, WildRose, thank you!

Anianna, your welcome. If you have any questions about anything you're having trouble with, please let me know. I've got books and experiences that may help you with anything you may have trouble with.

Ms. Research, not a problem. ;) I'm a researcher myself, and like to have a lot of info at hand before I start a project like the one Anianna is going to tackle. :)

And yes that breed chart did take me a little while to do, but that book Beef Cattle Science sure is a great resource for anything beef cattle. :)

I can't get the breed page to open. Any suggesstions?
Really, I went to Royd Wood's post and had no problem opening the breed page he posted. Maybe your computer security is holding you back? I have an option bar so that my security system can check it out for any bugs. Have to be safe because of other sites I may venture on. BYH is computer and family friendly so I've accepted them and have had no problems with tracking cookies or viruses that other sites might give you.

Just a suggestion. Not even close to being a computer geek. :)

Imagine your standing in the field or barn

Its all about having an eye that looks from nose to tail

Wild Rose Beef did a breed chart not too long ago which should help http://www.backyardherds.com/web/viewblog.php?id=236

Seems alot of work for someone not too up on cattle but good luck
Hard to read, not my kind of chart. Interesting though.

What did you find hard to read about it? I tried to make it so that it is readable, but of course the way you make a chart on that page is a little difficult. But nonetheless, what do you think I should change or add in on that breed chart?

Ok, it was readable I just do better with Bars or Pie structure.
