Hello and Welcome to the Official BYH Knitting Club!

All BYH Rules Apply!

I took up knitting a couple of months ago. I was surprised how easy it actually was once I got the hang of it! I am currently working on a hat and 2 scarves.

If you knit then don't hesitate to join! :)

I love to knit!

I have a small yarn shop on my property and online.

I have been knitting hats for Christmas and need to make me a pair of mittens.

I've never been able to get the hang of knitting. I can do a basic crochet and would love to be able to knit, but I just don't get it and my fingers don't know how to follow the directions :/

I started with crochet, because I would knit so tight the yarn would squeak as I crammed the needles into it. My mom got really frustrated and taught me to crochet instead. Haha.

Years later we tried again and I finally got the hang of it.

I have been making cute hats with a cabled scarf that is attached to it frames your face and wraps around your neck. It has dipped into the low 20's here in the mornings, so it sure has been nice for keeping my noggin warm when I let the ducks out.

I have to be self taught....I may try knitting again :)
You should try it again! The first time I tried knitting, I was reading a knitting book. For some reason, I just couldn't follow the directions. I am so bad learning from a book, I would rather learn something visually or in person.

A couple years later I decided I should try knitting just once more! And so I dug out my knitting book and all my knitting supplies and then went on YouTube and found knitting videos. It worked and I was surprised how easy it actually was! I highly reccomend trying it, Elevan! It's easier then you may think.

Good Luck! :)

I have heard that the you tube videos are the way to go!

We teach knitting here, but that's a bit of a drive. :p

I don't knit, but I do needlepoint in the past. Something I might pick up again.

Wishing you luck on your projects. Always nice to see people who are creative and what they create! :)
