She's happy, slick & shiney, fat as a tick.... but it's another week until the next (not-hoped-for) heat cycle.
If it happens, I'll call the vet & see what my options are to verify pregnancy. Either a visit or maybe, with some coaching, an at home blood draw & test?? Depending on the results, then starting over with the AI guy.
I'm REALLY hoping she's pregnant. I MUCH prefer winter calves & milking in the cold.

Get the urine preg test strips... I think Valley vet has them? Maybe it is EmLab..... they need to be something like 35 days I think... I can't remember... look up urine preg test for cattle....

Then give her a gallon of coffee so she will pee and follow her around with test strips.

When showing minis, the winning animals had to be drug tested. Urine sample. For us, taking one into the just cleaned & re-bedded stall was the key! 🤣

Maybe Ava could be convinced in a stall. OR tie a container to her, stall her & wait....of course, it might be brown, instead :hide:lol:

For most cows, if you stroke them lightly just below the vulva, on her skin, it will often get them to pee. No need to get squeamish, just massage like strokes and they will often pee..
Of course, the clean stall or something like you don't want her to pee right "here", usually will get them to do exactly what you don't want them to do.... .....
