Work has been hard. I'm training to be the fill-in in the medical fiber lab. The lady training me has some issues with.... well with pretty much everything about me that I have no control over.
She is very hurt & angry about how she perceives the actions of my friend Carmen (and the entire staff) toward her when she first started.... which was a year or so before I even started.
She is hugely pi$$ed that I get 'trainer' pay & she doesn't & says frequently that it's because of race. ..... it couldn't be because I'm spending 3-4 months training people to move into permanent positions & she's training me to fill in for a week while she's on vaca.
She's even very defensive about my restrictive & mostly natural foods diet & keeps pointing out how she has shakes & bars & whatever food she wants in small amounts & is losing weight. Yeah for her, I'm thrilled that's working for her & keep telling her that... but it doesn't work for me so I'm doing this instead.
And on & on.
It's ok. I'm on vaca through Tues, then train again Wed & Thurs.... then, if she feels that I'm ready, I'll run the room for a week & go back to my happy little world downstairs at the Beamer.

Meanwhile, family from Tenn is visiting this weekend & that diet is suffering badly!!!!

The hen that hatched the Breese went broody again & I left her some eggs. I'll have to check, but I think the Breese might be old enough to lay???? It'll be interesting to see if any of these hatch out white! They're due around the 1st.

Eva is doing great. She was a perfect angel (of course) getting her vaccs & now that the weather is cooling off I'm tracking heat cycles to try & get her bred again.

Well, some people aren't happy unless they are making others unhappy in whatever way they can. Sorry that one of those is paired up with you at work. At least it's not long term.

and if she feels you're not ready on Thurs, does that mean no vaca for her? Is there an instruction book for the equipment?

LOL! That's one of the things she keeps ranting about. She's says that when she started downstairs there weren't any manuals to learn from like the are now & she had to create one from scratch for her own use.
BUT.... do you want to guess what I've spent a large chunk of my training time doing??? Creating a notebook of procedures for each machine & process because there isn't one up here either.

If they determine that I'm not ready, they'll just shut down the lab for that week. That was the plan before they decided to train me.
