Good morning!
Just had... 'a farm morning'.
Went out in my PJs JUST to open the chicken coop.
But their water was low. So went to the barn to fill it up & noticed Eva's was too. Soo started unrolling the frozen stiff hose... and BROKE IT! Soo got out the spare hose & ran THAT to the trough. Then remembered I was getting water for the chickens but Eva mooooed from over at the hay wagon & I see that she's getting low on hay too! Soo go back to the barn, turn off the fence, find the blade. Go to the wagon, untarp the 1st bale, climb into the wagon to cut the net-wrap off of it & push it into the feeder. Eva is very appreciative & makes happy-cow-munchie-sounds. Rush back to the barn because by now the trough is Overflowing! Coil up the hose on the fence post so IT won't freeze. Decide that I'd better run the cord & drop in the trough de-icer because it's going into the low teens tonight. Get that done..... did I mention that it's RAINING & I'm in my PJs???? Then i remember that I was on my way to get a bucket of water for the chickens, get that done.... and remember that I had turned off the fence... back to the barn.
I'm finally back inside. Showered, dry clothes & warming up my cold coffee.
JUST remembered that I didn't retie the tarp over bale #2!
.... back out in the rain... after I finish my coffee

love when I come back inside only to realize how much I didn't do. Often the thing I went out to do anyway! I'm good for turning on a hose, do something else, forget to turn off water. Now, I try to stop & mentally go over what was "happening" on that trip out. Sometimes it works. I did fill all water last night while things were warm. Good girl.
