Chopping corn

Corn is all chopped off except for green chopping for the cows tonight. I'll do a pic later. Going to do lunch first!

i love that pic.an i can see the heifers in the background.an i can see the covered silage pile.

The pile is going to have to have more put on it for weight though. I thought so but, DH was hoping not. It's windy today and the wind is getting under the plastic and raising it up. Not good.

yes needs more weight so the rain cant blow in an ruin the edges of the pile.

Rain is not going to get to it, believe me. It would have to get the plastic out from under the round bales to do that. But the wind can get in inbetween the bales and then up and under. That breaks the seal and let's air in. Air in means spoilage.

an spoilage is no good.cant feed spoiled silage.
