Well gang, I am thinking about taking the plunge here but I am just not sure about getting our own buck yet so here we go...
1) I currently have 1 pygmy and 2 Nigerian does. If I want to start up breeding, showing, selling, how many bucks do I need to invest in to keep the gene pool stirred?
2) I have seen other farms that keep their bucks together but I was wondering if that is good practice or if I might have fights on my hands? We disbud our goats so that may factor in on how dangerous two or three bucks might be to each other.
3) And this is the big one---I have no clue how to pick a good buck. What does one look for, especially since I am probably going to buy unregistered since we simply can't shell out a grand for the super-goats I have seen on breeders sites.
