Jan 24th-
#11 had her litter, seems like small is all she can produce. =/
6, but one dead. How annoying. Same thing last time. Maybe she'll have an extra or two today like last time. She had 7 her first litter and all lived. Idk wtf she's doing these other times.

Lynx was bred to the new Rex. We'll see if he was old enough for it. Nest on 6th.

#14 bred to 3-5 SF, nest on 6th.

Speckle nest on 13th.

Wednesday-
2 deboned & salt bathing in fridge.
2 thawing to go up next.
11-12 more in the freezer to go through the same process.
😵‍💫
Don't have enough bowls for the soaking or I'd thaw 4 at a time instead. As I do two days soak, then portion, bag & freeze.

It'll free up so much space once they're all done. Next ones I butcher, I'll have to debone right away.

Yesterday-
Two more deboned & soaking.
Found 4 singles, so I pulled 3 of the smaller ones to thaw out for tomorrow.

Got a funnel to water without dribbles all over the place!

No, omg, wtf?! 🤬😭 You have got to be kidding me!
The new SF buck, he's been so indifferent to everything. So, I decided to look him over for why he wasn't excited for food or generally reactive to commotion like everyone else.
But what I found was awful...Split penis!
Teased him with a doe to get him extended to see how bad it really is, he's incredibly lazy about it, but there it is, another bad split!! FML!!!

Contacted breeder. They only have a wee baby. Might as well get him and pray like mad that he's healthy!! 😭 Set back another few months!

I guess if I decide to keep bucks of my own, I should keep the 2 best, in case one has a split!

But, in other news, Blu is still a sweetie.

I'm out of little dried gourds for her, last one given today.

Today-
3 deboned, took 1hr 20min. Is that a long time? Lol

Three more out of the freezer for thawing. Previous two portioned out & back in freezer.

Salt bath.

Saturday-
Another two deboned, previous ones bagged & two more set out to thaw.

I think I should get rid of the Rex. They're so dang slow growing! To be 12wks and hardly in the 4# range...ugh. Maybe I should wait to see what the new Rex buck produces, if still so slow, I'll sell them all off.

Sunday-
Decided to pull the last 4 to defrost to get it over with sooner.
Half of the frozens turned into just one shopping bag full of meat vs about 6 bags. Lots of space saving!

🤤 Lapin pasta!

Monday-
Got the last 5 pans needed & 20 bags of feed. In the red $500. 😵‍💫

Moved #14 & Lynx litters out.
