Started another 7. 4 left after them. Seems I half arsed did them, but redoing them anyway.
Put others outside to speed up the process a bit.

The Steely does.
the chocolate steel suddenly turned a beautiful color! More dense fur than the chocolate chinchilla, but the chin is heavier and a bit better shaped, so she stays. Turning the steel into a pelt tomorrow, sucks no one actually wanted her.

Trying to figure out what color this Tappy kit is...Not much to go off of, lol.

Yeah, to somewhat finish them. NuTan.
Lots of ways to do it, smoking, chrome, tannins, oils.

I don't think it actually waterproofs.
Some of these were definitely "finished" before and they rehydrated. Wtf?
Which means I'd have to smoke them to make them waterproof and there's no point in oiling them...
And there's no point in keeping the belly and neck parts on young rabbits. I'll cut those parts off in the future.

$247 in the green. Minus 654 in feed.
Currently $407 in the red.

The cull buyer is MIA again. Had contacted before holidays and then vanished. =/
The poo buyer is still in contact, like usual. And wanting another rabbit plus beef.

There's a few left to finish drying before they go on the pile. Then, I'll go through them to fix any stiff spots.

Young ones, I believe most are mutts.

Navy × Trouble & Mallow
The rex is obviously a Trouble kit.
But who are the others by? Hmm...
There's no way to know. Lol.
These are 14 weeks, 3 days. And they're 7+ pounds, biggest is 8+! That's 2-3 pounds heavier at 2 weeks after the 12wk/5# goal. Huge!

This guy is the big one, last in the collage pic. Definitely a keeper. But do I keep the rex furred doe as well? Whole point of the mutts is to build back up to improve both breeds. So, I gotta, right? I gotta double check, but pretty sure the blue is a doe.

....I need more cages....I need another bun building....I think I'm going to buy snap clips and make easily removable panels and divide up some of the doe cages...I don't want to cull any other adults, besides the ones I've already got listed. But Puddles, he finally figured out his job. So, he's no longer listed for awhile. And Raven, if she doesn't kindle this time, she's going straight to the freezer. Her daughter failed to kindle, rebred. She'll also go if she fails.
Opal failed to kindle, was rebred to Chinny for pedigreed Rex kits. But if she fails again, I'll have to move on.
Her daughter Cassy, I'll rebreed to a Rex next time, then hope for a replacement. Current kits are by Mallow, so I'm hoping for a mutt replacement. Which then, definitely doesn't free up a cage hole. Lol.
Who else was there...?
The tort DeVil×Lefty doe failed. Rebred to Jetbuck. I gotta name him. I need a replacement kit from them to bring her line back to SF. Then do a Rex breeding to keep for that breed line. But if she fails, I think I need to stop giving 2nd chances and move on, I have too many hoppers to be dealing with it.
Steely just had a second litter, by Mallow, mutt to NZW for bulking up lines. Do I replace her or keep breeding? I have a rex line to move forward, do I want to do a SF breeding or skip it and breed that NZW mutt to a SF? I think that might be best. Which means I have to start looking for a home for her.
Sky hasn't been rebred, her REW buck, I think he will replace her. So, I need to list her now.
Hops just had kits, by Jet buck. She has replacements for her. But I'll keep the best again and then cull her, too.
Lastly, I have to go over all of the Tippy & Tappy litters. Has one doe done better overall? Should I be keeping one halfsister over the other? Or do I keep both for the time being? If one is definitely better, then the worse one will be listed. I'm hoping for an obvious winner, that also happens to have good colors in there. Lol.
Okay, so, that's the newest plan. Let's see how it plays out.
