So my doe Jasmine really has me thinking. I bought this doe bred last October then in December she took a hard hit and aborted her kids She was not due till December so she never started an udder. She has had kids prior to me buying her once and they were twins. I am really trying to remember if Paintball broke out of his pen any time before I put him with the does. I never actually saw him breed Jasmine but I was thinking he got her over night and she would be due January 9th. the first week of November she started bagging up and I thought it was a little early but nothing crazy but her udder has really gotten big in the last week. Do you guys think she can still hold out till January 9th? Her ligs are starting to loosen up also. I took some pictures this morning and this evening.
This is from this morning

Dude, if I could answer that question, I wouldn't be making 482 trips to my barn all day....

It looks like she's close....but that means beans....Dazzle's looked close for a week now...

I just have this feeling like Paintball got here earlier then I think. I can not imagine a doe bagging up 9 weeks before she is due.

On another note I think Faith is going into heat so that means I will not get any Freeney kids till next year as I do not want this late of kids and the 3 Jr. does have all come into heat also.

I hope he did get yours. I am a little bummed that Faith didn't get bred but I guess she can have a year off to get fat.

I see your point about being due sooner, so making sure she has a safe place to kid out of the cold would be a good idea at this point, but I have does that look like that for a month, so I do think it is possible she still could be due on the 9th of january.

Although if you were to just put up that picture of her with no explanation, I would say she is due any day to the next 2 or 3 weeks.

Her belly still looks plenty high to me.

Well I guess I will just keep an eye on her.....Every year I think the first doe is going to kid for about a month....After that one I remember what signs to wait for and then I am good and don't stress anymore. Hopefully she is just making enough milk to feed 3 so she had to start early.:D

Any action yet? I have to wait until I can see the ligaments relax on my does. The muscle on their hip starts to dip instead of bump, and her tail becomes floppy. :plbb
