I started a new one tonight. It's called "Kaleidoscope". It's supposed to look like some quilted squares. So far I'm not convinced on the colors. 🤔

I love the goose bookmark!

I have a couple of cross stitch projects that I started back in the mid nineties. When I got tired of working on them (which was between kids 4 and 5 being born) I stuck them in a “craft tin” where they have resided for almost 30 years. Every time we moved or weeded out possessions, I would go through that tin and get rid of some of it. But the two pretty flower cross stitch projects always got put back because “someday I’ll finish those”.

Well this past summer I got one of them out and actually made some progress on it! And I plan to keep working on it a little at a time, in rotation with all my other bazillion “works in progress”. (I learned to knit this spring and I really ramped up my crocheting. Plus I joined the Amazon Vine program and have acquired several other arts and crafts kits.)

Next time I get the cross stitch out, I will share it with all of you. (Probably after the holidays are over.)

The quilt patern you are working on now will surprise you! I think you do lovely work. I could not ever get the half stitch as tidy as yours.
Thank you so much. ❤️
It's funny you bring up the half stitch. I didn't realize how many half stitches were in this pattern before buying it. Not that there's inherently anything more difficult about it but it's a little annoying to make them. I was stitching while watching TV with my husband last night and was working on a half stitch, trying to push the needle through. I'm using Carolina linen on this one which isn't as "open" as regular 14 aida. I stabbed my finger when it suddenly burst through (my eyes were on the TV). I even bled. 😂 I think that's the first time I've done that with a cross stitch needle.
