Road trip to Texas! I know of a nice Doublewide redneck mansion in the middle of nowhere that offers comfy beds, breakfast, lunch and supper. Country noises at night, barking Anatolians, howling coyotes, lightening bugs and flies.
Y’all come on down! 😂😂😂😂😂
I've not solo'd to Texas, but back in my more adventurous days I rode with my martial arts instructors and a bunch of teenaged boys, driving a van from Spartanburg, SC to Houston, Texas. I can't sleep in a moving vehicle so I offered to take the 2-6am shift, which was through Mississippi and Louisiana if I remember correctly.

Was it really 30 years ago?!????

I don't sleep in vehicles either. I helped my daughter move from Spokane to Dubuque. She was on a deadline as she had to fly out the day after we were scheduled to get there. We were going to stop the first night, but wound up trying to stay ahead of a blizzard. Crazy weather. I drove 19 of the 24 hrs we were on the road. With maybe 2 hrs of sleep...lol
