Drstratton - My Backyard Journey Journal

Cleaned out and refilled the water bucket. Also filled the feeders.
We are down to our last drum of feed. We will get more when we come back from our anniversary trip to Florida.
1 ton, fills 6 drums.

My two old ladies. On the roost at 2pm...I don't blame them. It's cold out.

Not sure yet which girl is laying the large brown egg, the green egg is from Opal. She's the lowest on the pecking order. She's so sweet, always ready for a chest rub.

I love a carton of colored eggs. My husband had never seen anything but white and brown eggs. I was at work and he was going to scramble some eggs that I had bought from someone that had yard eggs. There were blue and green eggs in the carton. He called me asking what was wrong with the eggs, like they were radioactive or something.

The repaired wall turned out really well. Painted it on the 23rd. Dripped paint down my back as I was painting the ceiling...lol

We're still waiting for the shower pan to arrive. Hopefully that will be here around the time we get back from Florida.

Dale is currently working on our new built in dresser. It will actually be one large cabinet. That will need to be installed before we add the bathroom cabinet, we also need to put down tile in the space before we can put either one in place.

Hubs has been routing the beaded edge on the face frames for the dresser. Wound up with some chip outs. He was trying to decide how to repair them, so I told him I'd think about it too. I remembered that I had some UV resin. Did a little research to see if it could be painted on. Yes it can. So that's how we repaired it.
I teased him with, "A little putty and a little paint, makes a carpenter what he ain't.".... :gig
Same piece of wood, different lighting.
