Ewe lamb is 'off'

Glad to hear she's on the upswing SheepGirl! Maybe she had some kind of infection that settled in her joints. I guess the Pen G is helping, whew!
:D

Took her temp this morning and it went down almost 1 degree in one day--it's now 102.9 :D She's a lot more active but of course when I took her temp and gave her a shot this morning I forgot to check her knees  I will check them when I feed tonight lol

Yesterday her temp was 103.0 and this morning her temp was 102.7. So she's getting better; I think tomorrow will be her last day of Pen G. However her knees still feel swollen, but she is walking a little faster than she was before and, while she doesn't run, she jogs a little. This morning I had a heck of a time trying to catch her!

That's always a good sign! I'm glad she is doing better. Great job catching her illness and getting right on top of it. :)

Forgot to update...her 4th day she was back up to 103 and on her 5th and final day of treatment she was hovering between 102.7 and 102.9 (I bought the 10 sec beeping thermometer, but it never beeped). She has definitely picked up her pace and I think she's feeling a lot better than she did before.

I couldn't watch your video because my internet is too slow, but I have one idea to share. We noticed that our ram was walking slower that normal and was a little lame with the back legs. So we tipped him on his butt to look at his feet and do a hoof trim. We found a small pebble lodged into his hoof, underneath the dirt packed into it. He felt much better afterwards. Can you call your vet for any ideas otherwise? I know it's expensive to have a vet come out to your house.

funny you should mention a vet  The guy I got my ram from is a vet and I told him about my ewe lamb and he said to get her back on antibiotics for another week since joint infections are hard to get rid of. She's mostly fine now but I will get her back on antibiotics and see if that gets rid of the swelling in her knees since she still has it.
