Many of us have osteopenia. I used to take Fosamax for about 4 years and it went away. But its back but I'm not going anywhere near that drug again. I take two calcium gummies (with D3 and Zinc) twice a day. When I remember.....
Same here !!! And doing well / better once off that drug.

I’ve been using 2 patches since August of last year. One promotes my body to produce new stem cells, stem cells are what “fixes” what is not going right. The other patch is for strength, stamina and bones. I go for a bone scan in October and y’all can bet I will report on my results. I have osteoporosis in both femurs, hips and spine. That was consideration in my decision to sell that bat sh!t crazy palomino mare I had after she threw me and I’m sure I fractured something in my lower back. If she put me in a wheelchair, sure I could shoot her and I would have, just because. But that would destroy my world. God was knocking on my stubborn hard head, I listened and took the b!tch to auction.

@Baymule I think you bought her from a "kill sale" ??? Brought her up from deaths door and minimally reported some behaviour issues. Don't recall a throw off or injury....but you did right, sold her!! We can't take those risks anymore. Too many other situations that count on us "being there".

There are days I'd like another horse to ride. Knowing the dangers has made me reconsider. But the thoughts are still in my head :old 🤣 Reminding myself it's good memories AND of the work, the expense that's needed -- it's kept me from buying.

Ditto what @Mini Horses said. I did try having a horse here as well - she lasted 2 weeks - crazy loco. I trained a lot of hunter/jumpers so I was used to some "silliness" - but this one, off the track (as most I've trained were) was just nutso. Probably drugged when I tried her out. Smartest thing I did was send her back (and even that was a battle).

I worked with her for 2 years and she was just as nuts on the last day as she was on the first. Carson could walk by, same dog in the same place she’d seen a thousand times and she would panic, spin and RUN! There was no getting through to her.

I will get another horse, but have things to do here first.

Are these patches through the program Palomino has?
