They are great. What you order comes fast - you get like 3-4 refills. Around the holidays they drop some prices and or shipping.
That's goodt to know. I had to use Amazon one time, it worked great, but I'd rather do something different.
I ordered from them last month. I'd used up my ivermectin when I was sick in August, and the prescription for doxycycline I'd gotten from my PCP really helped, so I ordered both. Now I have them on hand for emergencies since getting in to see a doctor takes days.Have you thought about getting antibiotics yourself? All Family Pharmacy has them. Dr approvals are done by their docs online, fill out a form and you're good to go.

, because I have now eaten some beef twice and no bouts of the diarrhea.. it must have been just from feeling so crummy and not a side effect of the tick bite. But, although I am not coughing as much, not much else has changed... still have the backache, still some coughing, still some nose blowing... it is like I am getting over a cold again, but with the tiredness, no energy, and the constant back hurting.
. He can't take care of his chickens and DS has most of them now... The whole thing is just such a mess... DS walks a tighrope with his father all the time... I don't envy him the stress...
Glad you're feeling a bit better and that the beef doesn't seem to be what caused your problem. Hope you continue to improve.Thank you @SageHill ... that was already on my radar... but I was honestly trying to give the dr's prescriptions a chance, since I don't like going, and thought when I first met her that she was more "realistic" and such... but it doesn't look like it. I also did not want to start any antibiotic until any test results came back....IN CASE they wanted another set of blood work tests or something...
BUT... I have about reached my limit... and am going to "self-prescribe" .

Headache did ease up some today... but that was after a strong dose of arthritis strength tylenol and advil combination...
It was a nice day... hit 80 this afternoon, and should be a little warmer overnight tonight. Tomorrow is supposed to be a nice day again...
Went to DS's house and did the chickens and fed the dogs. Then went to the pasture where the 14 heifers are, and fed them up where DS said he is going to set up the pen. There is one that is very high headed/spooky... everyone else just stood around eating when I was walking all around and looking at them, but she ran off 50 ft and would not come back while I was close... Good candidate to get rid of.... I am afraid we will have trouble getting her caught up. The only saving grace is, there are also the 18 that got bred earlier this year, that we moved into the adjoining pasture there... so worst case scenario, she will wind up going with them and then will be able to get them all in together in the bigger catch pen in the other part of the other field. So, I spent some time looking them over and still am not very impressed with most of them. I think that most will get sold... maybe keep the 4-5 bigger one ones that were "keep" candidates from before but were too small to breed yet. We'll see.
Then went to the big pasture, and took mineral and salt to them and drove around looking at them... they were very content except that they all came up near the gate, between the field 2 and 3...(they are in 2) like I was going to open the gate and let them into the next field... But they look pretty good. This grass hasn't had anything on it for probably 2 months, so even with the sparse rain, it is decent.
Then I came back to the house, and took the explorer to the end of the property and came in on the old abandoned RR bed to right near the pens and unloaded the 2x6's; and the 4 concrete blocks. I planned to put the roost up for the turkeys when I got home from town... but plans got changed.
I then left, and headed for Lowe's and got some things I think I will need to get these runners under the frame of the pens... I also got a couple of clamps, and will see about getting the other one together tomorrow...put together, and hopefully can get it all lined up, clamp it, then use a couple of L brace pieces to hold it, so that the warped piece can get straightened out and held there... then will have to deal with the roof panels that need the boards done that Deb has. I am thinking I am going to put them up... temporarily, without the boards on the ends... and cover the whole top with a tarp for the time being... so I can use the extra pen.
I have 2 "blue pullets", when I got some of the baby chicks, that day we were at Rural King and they had that ridiculously cheap sale due to getting a huge delivery and way too many chicks... when I got all the turkeys... and I want to get them here... I forget the name of what they are ...
Plus, I want to be set up to see what might be available at the Columbus Ohio poultry show... maybe some big New Hampshires... and then our Va Poultry Breeders show, the weekend before Thanksgiving... and some NH bantams like the little rooster I had, that got taken by the fox (I assume), just before I lost all the turkeys....
I need to see about getting a big poultry house..... set up with separate pens; Boy, I sure miss my mom... she was the carpenter and liked doing it... I just don't... I can do what I am told, but just don't like doing the building part...
Would love to come on something like @Baymule found that time... the poultry house she got on the trailer... I keep looking... It would be worth driving a bit to find something like that... or even one just to be moved... If it could be gotten on a trailer, then I could unload it here and not be on wheels... Lumber is so expensive... and with the cold we have, and the predators like the coons, I want a "house" they can be locked into at night...
Too bad I couldn't get a couple, that are at DS's house, since he doesn't use half of them... but he won't let them go...they came from his father's... and I think he is worried what if his father comes there and they are gone after he gave them to DS.....
and then my ex has a nice free standing one at his house... kinda big to try to move.... but .... not going there...
So, I finally came home and it was about 6... the "12" were all in the front of the pasture so I was going to get the forester, and go up and feed themseparately... In the meantime, DS and GF had come home, texted me about feeding and thanked me for going to the pastures and did I get the one heifer in that has the runny eye... I said no, I would get her in, in the morning... So, I go down the road, and there is the truck and trailer in the field... seems they took it upon themselves to go up and since the 12 were all there, they opened the trailer and they all went in for feed... so they are sorting them out... and the one with the bad eye gets by him... I am sitting there, like WTH????? he came out of the trailer after she got by him, and said they figured they could get her in... and I said, well, I told you I would get her in the pen, in the morning... so then he said well, guess that's it... I said, do you want me to see if they will follow me to the pen and get them in??? and he said well, if you think you can... so I drove across the field and called them... and 8 came to the pen and right in the gate... and she was in that group of 8.... so they got sorted out in the barn, kept a 2nd one with her for company, and loaded them in the trailer... and down to the barn we took them. Need to put her in the chute in order to give her the shot in the eyelid....then put some "Today" mastitis medicine on the eye.... and then put a patch on the eye... . SO, GF had decided that they would work the bought calves through the chute also... 2 bull calves needed to be banded, they all needed blackleg and vaccine shots... I mean, really... she is calling all the shots there lately... I feel like I am just superfulous to this whole operation... She calls the shots and it slipped that she said that they ought to come up and get them in the trailer...
It's starting to get on my nerves.... but he just folds and does what she wants like a lap dog lately. As long as it is her idea, she directs things to get done, or it benefits her in some way... he and I had talked about working the calves on Sunday.... but she decided they needed to get done this evening... she said that with my back hurting maybe I should go home and put a heating pad on it, and I got a little curt and I said, heat does not help it, cold does not help it, nothing has helped for the last 3 months, it aches no matter what I do or don't do, so no sense in "not doing".... and sitting around doesn't give me any relief...
At least she is not on any of the financial stuff .... so far... not going to even think about that possibility... Since the farm checking and all is in my name with him having check writing abilities, due to the workman's comp stuff right now.,..it's not in his name..... she has no control or anything. It had better stay that way.....
So, the calves are worked, he will take the 2 heifers back to the pasture tomorrow... Hopefully this will take care of the pinkeye problem that she had... the eye was pretty white and running, and looked pretty bad.
These 12 are pretty tame.. almost too much so. And she talks to them like they are "babies"... that is why that dam#@d bull does not respect anyone... yet she just doesn't get it... she kept after DS to not get hurt with the one calf that was pretty spooky... okay, yes, watch out, but you still have to do stuff... he is 50+, not 10....... GRRR. So by the time we got them all done, it was dark, so the turkeys will get their new roost pole/cinder blocks tomorrow. I will see about trying to work on some of the chicken stuff in the morning after I check the 2 heifers at the pasture...
Lots of things on the list for tomorrow... I will work at them but not pushing... I do want to get the laundry off the line, was going to do that this afternoon also....
DS said he did try the new coil, but that the truck is still not firing so the mechanic friend said it might be the ignition module... that is next to try... the truck has not had any real major stuff done to it so I cannot complain. It will get figured out... but I want to try to move it a bit, so I can get by it, to get out in the back a little easier.. It will start and run, but is very rough.... shouldn't be too big a deal to get it moved over and back a bit more... just never expected it to not "get fixed", right away, or I wouldn't have let him leave it there, to try to figure out what was wrong, when he parked it there to start with.
So, that was my day. Decent overall for the most part, until late.... at least the heifer got treated, and the bull calves were banded and the others all vaccinated that are in that group.
Didn't realize it was midnight... time to go to bed...
I love this weather, can get so much done outside!
