Thanks @fuzzi ... yeah we got lucky on the "not icy roads"...

Sun is out.. down to 24, but should get into the mid 40's today. No breeze that I can see so ought to be decent.

Eating a bowl of oatmeal, the "old fashioned" kind that takes several minutes to cook. Finally found where I had stashed the jug of maple syrup... my preferred "topping"... I will need to get more this spring at the Maple Festival in Highland county....

Will head to give DS's dog his shot, give the chickens "liquid" water since theirs will be frozen, break ice for the sheep on their trough... and go check on the new baby at the farm from last night.
Need to take some mineral and salt to Grants behind me where we just moved all the cows/calves... need it at Snyders too... and DS said to take some to the Aug county farm where the biggest group of spring born cow/calf pairs are...I haven't been there in awhile, so want to look the calves over and see what is what..

Waiting for the tylenol/"drugs" to kick in to take the worst of the back ache down a notch or 2 or 3 :fl...

Cattle meeting this evening... right here at the local fire dept meeting room...

Lots of things on the list, ought to be able to cross off some today... Tomorrow looks to be pretty decent also, then calling for snow/wintry mix for early Friday morning... I will be testing Thurs aft/Fri morning... right here 7 miles away at the farm... If it is real iffy, I will drive the big 4x4 I bought this past spring... can't get the little 4x4 ranger out because he has the 2wd ranger blocking it in (behind the tree which isn't going to move) and not yet "fixed" as to why it is running so rough... but the little forester or the outback usually handle the roads pretty good unless it is too deep snow.. being this close to me it shouldn't be a big deal.

Y'all have a nice day.

I'm a fan -- cream of wheat & oatmeal, too. Not the "instant". Butter on wheat, milk & brown sgr on oats, some fruit/nuts occasionally. Potato fritters are another good leftover treat. Having those in the morning. 😋

But wait! Nobody has mentioned Malt-o-Meal! Delicious and can be topped with all the above-mentioned toppings! There was even a recipe on the box for Malt o-Meal muffins. Double yummy!

And grits! I grew up having them as a breakfast cereal also.
