Thank you!You take beautiful pictures of your chicks!
Yeah, no poultry allowed, just caged birds. But that is a great idea to make a flyer. Thanks! They are lovely birdies!. With that many, can they go to bird fair? Or are chickens not offered, just caged birds? If last is the case, I'd sure make flyers for that affair -- promote!!
And of course we want crochet chicken picks.
How about crocheting by the AC?
You mention the AC. Now that I think about it, crocheting a little bird is a lot different than crocheting a giant Afghan on my lap. It might not be too hot to continue with those. We keep the air around 76, but I tend to run hot, and have just never liked to crochet if the weather isn’t chilly. I’ve been happy with our fairly chilly spring so far. Nice excuse to stay inside and crochet instead of going outside and weeding. Oh man! Those weeds!!
Ok, I found some on my phone. The first one I made, my husband really liked and claimed for his own.Love baby chick pix!
And I second - some
Pics of the crochet chicks
Then I found yarn that spoke to me and said “Barred Rock!”
The skein was enough to make a whole family.
Those eggs fit inside the mama.
Here is the yarn waiting to become more chickens (left bag) and parrot type birds in the right bag.
So far I’ve only made one prototype of a cage bird and I just used a thick blue leftover yarn I had and it didn’t come out very well. Thick yarn makes a way too big bird. So now I’m working on one with regular (worsted weight) yarn. I can take photos of those to add later.
