Happy chickens! Your squash plants are going to give you a bounty of squash!
Hope so. We have squash vine borers here, big time. I've tried various methods to help my plants survive, nothing works consistently. This year I'm just going to try the mass planting strategy and hope I get some squash.

I could live on Summer squash. 😋

Here we have squash borers all spring, summer and fall. None of that one crop stuff, they just keep coming. I’ve grown trombincino squash, letting the vines run along the ground. At the leaf nodes, the vines put out more roots! Borers ravaged the plants at the original roots, but the vines just kept growing.

Hey I've got trombocino growing crazy right now -- but I confess - I didn't plant it this year. It's the same plant that I started from seed early last year. Critters ravaged through it in the winter - but it was like the energizer bunny and just kept going. Trimmed it back hard about a month ago and it's going strong. Just like @Baymule said those nodes set down roots!
