Garden is looking great. This week I've been weeding my garden beds, plucking out weeds that are the same size as the vegetable seedlings.
Bed #1 - I planted carrots around the milkweed after I noticed a Monarch butterfly laying eggs.

I gave all the little weeds to my chickens, yum yum!

Pulled weeds are in a pile, bottom right
The cockerel Jacob is getting less shy. He's still respectful of the elders, but not as freaked out when I enter the coop. This afternoon as I was walking past the coop I saw him in the back far corner. I said "chick chick" which is my treat call, but not loud enough for the others to hear. I slowly stuck a weedling through the wire, and he leaned over, taking a leaf off.
Finally, look at what our gusty winds did!

It's so fun when they start to interact with you. I like calm chickens, makes me crazy when they freak out and flap around, like I'm going to eat them...
