so we just got our Nigerian back from a breeder (she has only been gone 5 days), and put her in the pen with her buddy again. They really started going at it, and have hurt themselves a bit. That's not the problem, but how do I stop it? I know it's just establishing dominance again, but I'm really afraid they're gonna get themselves really hurt.

Advice?

How large is the pen? Generally if there is reasonable room to run away, the dominant one will leave off after a quick chase. If the pen is too small, then there can be some serious hurt.

We are having the same problem we just got a new Boer buck he's about 5 months old that is de horned and we have two does that are about 4 years old that have horns and I'm afraid they will hurt him we have been trying to put pipe insulation over there horns but can't keep it on there and they keep fighting . Anybody have any ideas?

Greetings @Jeremy W from the front range in Colorado :frow Welcome to BYH. I'd have to echo what was said above... If you can separate them but leave them a shared fence line so they can "get to know" each other without damage, that would probably be best for a while. After a week or two you could give them supervised visitation so they can mingle, hopefully without all the fighting. Glad you joined us.
