:frow :welcome

Welcome from a transplanted Northern Californian! Well . . . By way of Southern CA, TX, PA, MN, PA and now TX again. I've been around the block a few times.

I went to high school in San Jose and made many trips to San Francisco and Santa Cruz. LOVE the California Coast! I was just telling DH, this evening how much I miss SF Sourdough Bread!

I've made my own sourdough starter, but the bread just isn't SF Sourdough! :drool I'm seriously thinking about buying some "SF Sourdough Starter, so I can have some authentic SF SD bread again. YUM!!!

So glad to have you join us. DH and I have chickens, 3 breeds of ducks, geese and a cranky turkey, as well as 3 LaMancha dairy goats and two Maremma LGDs (livestock guardian dogs), which have saved our birds more than once, by chasing off predators. Our Violet even "guards the sky". Whenever a bird of prey flies over, she starts looking up and barking. Those birds in the sky don't hang around for very long.

I would love to have bees some day, but we have too many projects going on right now to start a new project. So, the bees will have to wait.

You have come to the right place to learn about bees. Several of our members have, or had bees.
