Growth? Near eye on ewe

One of my ewes developed this growth/mass near her eye. Although pretty small it does tend to be disturbed and start bleeding excessively which is bothersome to her. Any ideas? I am on list for vet to come out but even worry about how are we going to remove this or treat it being so close to the eye. Thought about asking for a steroid.....

That is unusual looking!

Did it go through a stage where it was bald and pink and oozing before it turned to this dark scabby look? If so, it kind of reminds me of this thing a dog of mine had once. They called it a hystiocytoma.

It sure takes the vet a long time to come out. The vet I use is expensive for a farm call.
$75 plus mileage and $200 per hour. Needless o say, I load them up and take to the vet. I hope your ewe can see the vet soon.

Vet is kind to us.... it is a lot more but waiting for her to come out to our area. Not bothering ewe and mass not changing so not terribly worried.

Update to this. Vet came out and literally just pinched it and with a quick pull it was off. Small amount of bleeding and done. She said may grow back but nothing to worry about. Didnt even catch what she called it.
