Hey @Baymule, is low around 125 degrees or lower/higher?

I don't know what degree, I just put it in a big pot on low to medium low. As soon as it was all melted, I strained it. then I cooked the cracklins until they were browned. The lard from that was browned. The first lard I poured off cooled to a pretty pure white.
