hi i have a question about what type of oatmeal is it just cooking oatmeal or is it some other type the oat mealthe one i have says its made out of 100% natural rolled oats is this safe for them ?

Rolled Oats are good for rabbits. What you have will be just fine for them. Some give it as a treat or sprinkle it in with their pellets.

I thinking of trying oatmeal for my rabbits. Right now they get their oats from Cheerios. They LOVE them.

Good Luck. Let us know how your rabbits like the oatmeal.

I give each my bunny's a tablespoon full of cheerios. You can do that with the oatmeal as well.

Old fashioned rolled oats, like Quaker Oats, work fine. Just don't get the "Quick Cook" kind. I give mine a small handful, but my Cal's are bigger rabbits 9-11lbs or so each. It also works well as a first food for kits coming out of the nest box.

I give mine approx a tablespoon over their pellets - they love it, and eat um up shortly after provided.

:thumbsup This info is an awesome find. It is amazing how much feed pellets a doe & seven one month old kits can eat. I have been using pellets & almonds as treats to train the 2 keepers for show posing & picture posing. I think they would love a rolled oat each time they pose.:pop
