Hi. Right now I am an apartment dweller. I was raised on a working homestead. Lived off off grid for 13 years while running a commercial rabbitery. I raised for Pelfreeze. I also raised chickens and sold the eggs to a local hatchery. I also raised goats, sheep, cattle, and horses.
I had to move to town after a stroke and hope to be back on some land this year so I can raise animals and have a garden again..

Welcome, from Central Indiana! My only “herd” animals are poultry. We have 4 acres in the increasingly built up suburbs north of Indy. Hoping to move to a larger parcel in a more rural area after DH retires at the end of this year.

We will probably stay in Indiana (Michigan natives) because we (I) have grown used to the milder winters but I still hate that the heat ruins the summers. I have pondered what it would be like in all the states and ruled out all but a small handful. Missouri being one of them. Have your years of homesteading all been in MO?

Yes. I grew up on the Howell and Shannon County line. I have lived in New Mexico, Colorado, Florida, Alabama and then back to Missouri. I like the 4 seasons. Winter mild and Summer not really hot a little humid but nice.
