Latestarter, I took your advice
"You may consider putting some heavy duty asphalt shingles (or something very rough/coarse) on the ramp to help them wear down their hooves... less trimming down the road for you!"

At first I tried only the shingles idea, to steep an angle they THOUGHT! So I added the "ladder rungs" as you can see they LOVE it. Thanx for that ingenious idea!

I have a doe named Buttercup as well! She's a mix, but about 1/2 Nigerian!

I thanks BlessedWithGoats! Our Buttercup and her sister from the same litter DixieCup are both all Nigerian, we like the size and the milk production possibilities! Not to metion the two girls and Pontiac, our alpine/nigerian mix wether, make us SMILE
