Hi all!
I first heard about, (and joined), Backyard Herds when BYC went under construction a few weeks ago.
Though I had joined back then, I had some major technical issues, and couldn’t post until now.
So here I am, and hi!

I currently have 26 hens, 2 roosters, 3 8 wk old pullets, 12 2 wk old chicks, and 17 who hatched Thursday!

I also have 2 goats, and am planning on ducks in May!

I also migrated from BYC, but I've been here since 2024.

I also had a raid on the coop in July which killed everyone from the following breeds:

New Hampshire Red
Cuckoo Marans
Blue Wyandotte
Lavender Orpington
Splash Austrilorp
BYM

I also have a huge list of breeds I’m hoping to add in the future…. But that’s a whole new post! lol

Yeah, so I’ve always wanted bantams, but I was afraid that my roosters are too big for them.
I finally just hatched my first two bantam eggs from a friend.
I think they are blue Cochins.
