I am interested in it as well. Live in the desert but have a patio room that would be perfect to setup aquaponics...

None of the systems in the pictures are ebb and flow, although I do have some ebb and flow systems.

Eggbert, nice setups... For those starting out I would recommend stay with hydroponics at first. Acquaponics is crazy temperamental. This my dutch bucket system with rails for greens.

If I had it to do over again, I'd follow a single hose through the high end--but am just too lazy to re-plumb that section. Had to re-plum the dutch buckets as the system got pretty beat up moving from Virginia to Tennessee.

Unfortunately it turned out to be a fad. Customers wanted fresh--but weren't excited about picking it at the store.

I have had aquariums for many years.... The last one was a 110 gallon. rule of thumb more water in the container the less chance of the ph to go wonky quickly. Providing you stock correctly and dont over feed. I would be starting with just the totes and fish.... and raising fry up in the 110 in the house to keep an eye on them. I am also very familiar with good filtering practices....

I have read many sites on Aquaponics as well as hydroponics... doesnt compare to practical experience i am sure. The more you know the more you find out you need to know
