I found these tracks outside one of my chicken pens and it even appears that entry may have occurred through an approximately 1" gap...my chickens cannot get out.

Yes, I have chickens in a dog kennel temporarily. It looks like whatever it is came and went...

Interesting @Bunnylady, my wild rabbit's tracks are always the classic two small front paws, longer paired rear leg prints. Must be your rabbits walk with their hind legs more straight.

This was barely more than a dusting of snow (less than 1/2" deep) that had blown in on a level, bare surface.

Outside the rabbitry, where the snow was deeper, the tracks looked like this:
